An endearing winter tradition in Niagara Falls has just received a remarkable accolade. The Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights has just been awarded the prestigious title of “Tourism Event of the Year” by the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario for 2023.

Recognizing excellence in the province’s tourism sector, the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario presented the Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights with the esteemed award at a Gala Awards Reception attended by the industry’s best and brightest. For an impressive 41 years, the Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights has graced Niagara Falls with more than 75 dazzling illuminated displays and more than 3 million lights, which transform the tourist district into a winter wonderland. This festival has become synonymous with winter and holiday cheer, and as many of the displays located steps from premier Niagara Falls Hotels, it makes for an enchanting winter getaway against the backdrop of the majestic Falls. This year’s edition of the festival begins November 18th and runs through January 7, 2024.
