Each weekend in May, wine enthusiasts and foodies alike head up the Niagara Parkway to Niagara-on-the-Lake for the annual Sip & Sizzle events. This year, the event promises to be better than ever, with over 20 participating wineries offering exquisite wine and food pairings that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
Sip & Sizzle is the perfect opportunity to experience the culinary scene at its finest. Each winery offers a unique tasting menu, featuring carefully curated wine and food pairings that showcase the best of the region’s local ingredients. From grilled meats to fresh seafood and everything in between, there’s something for everyone at Sip & Sizzle. The 2023 offerings are an exciting mix of flavours, just a few of the options include: DISCOVER THE MASTERY OF BARREL AND SMOKE at Inniskillin, A TASTE OF ITALY AT THE CHATEAU at Chateau Des Charmes, AN UN-PITA-BLE PAIRING at Konzelmann, ‘ROLL’ INTO SPRING at Wayne Gretzky Estates.
Guests may choose from an Individual Tasting Passport (16 tastings for per person, $75 plus tax and service fee) or a Couple’s Passport (16 tastings per couple, $75 plus tax and service fee). These passes give guests access to all wineries with a maximum of eight tastings in one day, passports can be used across each of the weekends, meaning you could make the experience last the entire month by visiting two or three wineries each weekend. Tastings are available from 11:00am to 5:00pm Friday-Sunday, and when purchasing passes, you will select the wineries you wish to visit and the date of your visit.
