The Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights will once again transform the city of Niagara Falls into a glowing wonderland that celebrates the beauty and magic of the holiday season. Visitors can experience Canada’s Largest Free Outdoor Light festival from November 15, 2025, to January 4, 2026, capturing the spirit of the season in every shimmering detail.
A beloved winter tradition, the 43rd annual Winter Festival of Lights features spectacular displays, millions of lights, and larger-than-life installations across the tourist districts, just steps from premier Niagara Falls Hotels. This year’s festival will showcase new displays, shows, and experiences, including more than 75 displays and 3 million lights, illuminating an 8-kilometre stretch of the Niagara Parkway, Dufferin Islands, and surrounding districts. Brilliant laser beams sweep through the winter sky, synchronized to an energetic soundtrack that captures the excitement of the holidays. It’s a free, family-friendly experience that transforms Queen Victoria Park into a dazzling stage of music and motion—an instant festival highlight.

- Shows every half hour from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (each show approximately 18 minutes)

Sparkling Winter Lights Illumination Show
The Falls themselves join the celebration each night during the Sparkling Winter Lights Illumination Show—a stunning display inspired by the wonder of the northern winter. From gentle snowfalls and shimmering frost to the ethereal glow of the aurora borealis, this moving light sequence celebrates nature’s artistry and the quiet majesty of the season.
The Misty Lodge & Santa Meet & Greet
At the heart of the festival, The Misty Lodge in Queen Victoria Park is the place to gather, explore, and take in the sights. It features interactive displays, a cozy festive atmosphere, and front-row views of both the Laser Light Spectacular and Fireworks Over the Falls.
Families can also stop by the Santa Meet & Greet at the Skylon Tower on December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20 from 6:00–8:00 p.m., where guests can meet Santa and receive a free digital photo to capture the memory.
