A sure sign that spring is just around the corner in Niagara Falls is the opening of the Niagara City Cruises.
This year, the cruises hit the water on March 16, which marks their earliest opening in history thanks to a mild winter and minimal ice build-up in the lower Niagara River.

The popular Niagara Falls attraction typically runs from mid-spring to mid-November, so an early start to the season is great news for visitors with many students out of class to enjoy spring break and march break. As the season opens, Niagara City Cruises will operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in March, ramping to daily operating hours in April. Cruises will depart every 30 minutes until May 1st when the number of cruises will increase with one departing every 15 minutes. This 15 minute schedule will also be in place for the Easter Holiday weekend.
It is a great time for visitors to explore all that Niagara Falls has to offer, and there is something for everyone to discover in this beautiful city.
