Rosewood Estates Winery & Meadery
This is Niagara’s first winery and meadery situated along the premier wine growing area of the Beamsville Bench. The grapes planted at the main vineyard in Beamsville Ontario produced eight different VQA wines, single varietals and blends, amounting to 1700 cases. Rosewood Estates also purchased another 40 acres of land in 2007 along the Twenty Mile Bench, in Jordan Ontario, where they grow all premium vinifera varietals.
Unique to Rosewood are the 3 apiaries located in the Beamsville Bench. With the honey produced here and the winemaking skills of the estate, Rosewood has created an innovative handcrafted honey wine or mead. With Harvest Gold, Mon Cherie and Ambrosia Meads, Rosewood Estates Winery & Meadery is one of the most unique wineries in the Niagara Peninsula.

The Vineyards of Rosewood
The Rosewood Estates Vineyards are located in the premium wine growing regions of Niagara, along the Beamsville Bench and the Twenty Mile Bench. The first vineyard was the 15 acre parcel of land along the Beamsville Bench that is mainly used for vinifera varietals including Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The newer of the vineyards is located on the Twenty Mile Bench and is a 40 acre property consisting of vinifera varietals.
The unique methods used at Rosewood Estates is the process of organic composting to produces rich soil. The compost partially consists of the grape skins, pips and stems of the grapes produced here. The composting enriches the soil to produce grapes with the optimal fruit intensity.
Another unique feature to the vineyard is the contribution to by the honeybees to the grapes. Rosewood Estates has twenty bee colonies on the property. The bees help the wines by pollinating the area and the vines throughout the summer months.
