NPC Incline Railway in full service by mid August

The Niagara Parks Commission is revamping is Falls Incline Railway. The Incline should be ready by mid August according to the Niagara Parks Commission.

The Incline, will transport visitors to and from Portage Road to Table Rock Welcome Centre. The renovation of the 47 year old railway service is being paid for by the provincial government at a cost of 7 million.

Two separate passenger carriers, each capable of carrying up to 40 passengers will transport visitors.  The carriers will operate year round and be more assessable for wheelchairs.

The upgrade is part of the NPC Table Rock Redevelopment Program and will vastly “enhance the overall visitor experience” within the Niagara Parks.

37: Maximum passengers with one wheelchair

34: Maximum passengers with two wheelchairs

1,600: At peak service, number of passengers transported per hour
