After nearly a year of upgrades, the Niagara Falls Incline Railway will re-open to the public Aug. 16.
Dignitaries attended a sneak peak of the rehabilitated service Thursday, attended by Ontario Tourism Minister Michael Chan. New features will include better accessibility for passengers with strollers and disabilities.
The new rail cars will also be enclosed so they can run year-round.
Each of the passenger carriers can accommodate 40 people, linking the Fallsview tourist area to the Niagara Parks nearly 60 metres below.
