Niagara Falls Museum continues to commemorate the War of 1812 this summer by Impersonating it.
In the midst of the War of 1812 anniversary, events run every Thursday beginning July 18 with the event ‘Impersonating 1812’.
Working with local re-enactors, the museum will host a fashion show with garments that soldiers and civilians would have worn in early 19th century 1812.
Starting at 5 p.m. running until 9 p.m., visitors to this free family night will see, smell and partake in life as it was during the War of 1812. There will also be vendors selling their crafts and discussing needle work, quilting, herbs and flowers.
Kids will have fun and can join in a mini militia and march with soldiers. The night will end with music and dancing by the Regency Dancers.
Upcoming events at the Niagara Falls Museum include Hear the Cannons Roar and Petticoats, Boots and Muskets.
