Hundreds ride for local cancer care

The first time Eric Rudling did the Big Move Cancer Ride in 2011, the young university student was simply helping out for a good cause.

This year, it was personal.

Rudling, of St. Catharines, was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma in March 2012. Last year, his family and friends rode in the cycling fundraiser on his behalf.

This year, Rudling was back.

Recently declared cancer-free after four months of chemotherapy and three weeks of radiation, Rudling is newly married, is back at university, has a new job and is glad to be doing his part to help others.
